I am proposing doing a bike tour beginning in Capital Reef NP and finishing in Zions NP. This is probably the most scenic stretch of road anywhere in Utah. The trip will be about 200 miles, broken into three days.
First Day, Wednesday, September 7: Capital Reef Visitor's Center to Escalante, Utah (66 miles). Lunch in Boulder, Ut, break at the Kiva Koffeehause.
Second Day, Thursday, September 8: Escalante to Bryce Canyon NP (45 miles). Add an extra 36 miles if we do the scenic drive in Bryce.
Third Day, Friday, September 9: Bryce Canyon to Zions NP (87 miles). Extra if we ride Zion Canyon.

Right over Boulder Mountain ! Why the hell not ??
I am interested, but I won't be in great bicycle shape. I am running a marathon in late April (good cardio but different muscles) and will be wiped out for a week after that.
Potential dates for me are April 30 to May 15 +/-. In September, Fairlie and I are planning a trip late in the month, so I might be available September 1 to 15 +/-.
What are you thinking for logistics ? Motels, camping, car support, etc ??

The date for the ride will probably be September 7, 8 and 9. Any later and we might lose a couple of watering holes.
